Smith also presented a list of demands, including energy corridors, repeal of pipeline hindering legislation, lifting a tanker ban, ending the oil and gas emissions cap and clean energy regulations, ending the federal prohibition on single use plastics and a net-zero car mandate, and provincial oversight of the carbon tax. Carney stated Canada needs to build energy projects and seek new customers and export routes.
