Alberta school support workers represented by CUPE reached tentative deals with the Edmonton Public School Board, and the public and Catholic school boards in Fort McMurray, potentially ending a two-month strike as early as Wednesday. The deals, valid through August 2028, include pay increases. Contracts for striking workers in Calgary, Sturgeon, Parkland, Foothills, and Black Gold school divisions remain unresolved.
