Alberta to stop buying U.S. booze, encourage buying Canadian as part of four

"The road ahead is very bumpy," Premier Danielle Smith said in announcing the response Wednesday

Alberta is implementing a four-pronged response to U.S. tariffs: prioritizing procurement from domestic companies and countries with free trade deals, halting U.S. alcohol purchases, promoting Canadian product labeling and a "buy Alberta" campaign, and pursuing internal free trade deals with other provinces.
