Alectra Inc. employees and the company together contributed $200,000 to United Way's food security programs. Employees donated $48,000 through payroll deductions, with Alectra adding $152,000. The funds support initiatives in the Greater Toronto Area, Halton, Hamilton, Simcoe Muskoka, Wellington Dufferin, and Niagara. These programs address both immediate and long-term food needs, such as the Green Markets project and support from Braeburn Neighbourhood Place. Alectra has donated over $2 million to United Way since 2016 through its AlectraCARES program.
