Another TTC subway closure this weekend will grind a portion of Toronto to a halt.The transit agency plans to shut down an over 4.5-kilometre-long stretch of the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway for the entire weekend of Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, 2025.Those planning to get out and enjoy the many events on tap for the weekend will have to contend with yet another closure affecting a lengthy portion the subway network, with this weekend's closure to stretch from between Kipling and Jane stations.All subway service will be suspended during this period, and passengers will instead be corralled onto shuttle buses to cover the gap in service.According to the TTC, this latest outage has been planned to accommodate ongoing signal work along Line 2.
