Alton Towers and Legoland owner confirms Fiona Eastwood as chief executive

Fiona Eastwood became interim chief executive in November last year, replacing former boss Scott O’Neil, who left after two years at the helm.

Fiona Eastwood has been appointed as the permanent CEO of Merlin Entertainments, the company behind attractions such as Alton Towers, Legoland, Madame Tussauds, and Thorpe Park. Eastwood, who served as interim CEO since November 2022, succeeds Scott O’Neil, who left after two years. She will lead the company’s strategy, focusing on performance, creativity, operational excellence, and guest experience. Merlin is preparing to launch the first standalone Peppa Pig Theme Park in Dallas and the first Legoland resort in Shanghai. Eastwood, who has nearly a decade of experience at Merlin, expressed her commitment to driving the company to new heights.
