Andy Burnham's office is examining DWP benefit reforms, designed to save £5 billion by the end of the 2020s, and how they'll impact Greater Manchester's employment support. Burnham could gain more funding for his "Live Well" program to get 150,000 residents back to work by 2029 due to an extra £1 billion investment in employment support. However, he isn't expected to gain further control over employment support, so the extent of the benefit remains unclear.
