Displaced individuals in the Democratic Republic of Congo (RDC) are returning to destroyed areas after conflicts, including the town of Sake, where homes are in ruins. The fighting between the Congolese army and the M23 armed group has caused over 7000 deaths since January. The M23 has gained control in Bukavu, while Rwanda has rejected Canadian criticism of its military presence in RDC, calling it "dishonorable."
