A pro-Palestinian protester who climbed the Big Ben clock tower barefoot, breaching parliament security and flying a Palestinian flag, was safely brought down by emergency services after 16 hours. The protester was arrested. The incident led to Westminster Bridge closure and a large crowd gathering in Parliament Square.
