Maximilian Bourne, the son of art dealer Sylvia Bourne, attacked his housekeeper, stabbing and strangling her at their Chelsea home, believing her to be a demon. The housekeeper survived, barricaded herself, and called for help. During the trial, Bourne called police, stating he stabbed a "demon woman," and later claimed to be innocent. The jury concluded he attempted to murder her, and he was found guilty.
