Pope Francis was first hospitalised on Feb. 14, after suffering a bout of bronchitis



Pope Francis was hospitalized for bronchitis on February 14th and discharged after a long stay. During his hospitalization, he was diagnosed with a polymicrobial infection and pneumonia, experienced respiratory crises requiring oxygen and blood transfusions, developed steroid-induced diabetes and slight kidney failure, and inhaled vomit. His condition improved after a month, and he was eventually deemed well enough to convalesce at the Vatican.
