Bačić kaže da bi poslijepotresna obnova mogla biti gotova do 2030.

Minister of Spatial Planning and Construction Branko Bačić stated that post-earthquake renovations could be completed by the end of 2030. He visited the construction site of the post-earthquake renovation of the Mali Vatikan building block in Zagreb, expressing satisfaction with the progress. According to estimates by contractors and supervising engineers, the renovation of the block is expected to be completed by the end of August. So far, around 3,800 renovations have been completed in the area affected by the Zagreb earthquake, involving 37,000 housing units. Bačić emphasized a significant change in the renovation approach in Zagreb and Sisak a year ago, shifting from individual building renovations to a more modern, earthquake-resistant construction method. This approach, while slower and more expensive, is safer and more sustainable in the long term. Bačić also noted that all replacement housing units will be completed by the end of 2023, and all complex construction renovations of multi-apartment buildings will be finished by the end of 2030. After visiting construction sites in Zagreb, where around 1,800 sites are currently active, Bačić proceeded to inspect post-earthquake renovations in Krapinsko-Zagorska County, where 700 sites are currently active.
