Blockheads star Ian Drury's dark life from polio paralysis to tragic death

Ian Dury, "Godfather of Punk" and frontman of The Blockheads, overcame polio-induced paralysis to achieve musical success in the late 1970s with hits like "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll" and "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick." He blended various musical genres and was known for his unique persona. Dury died of liver cancer at age 57, 25 years ago. His bandmate Chaz Jankel remembers him fondly.
