Canadian border officials provided a rare look inside Canada's largest immigration holding centre in Toronto, which can accommodate 195 people. The centre houses detainees for immigration violations, criminal convictions, or lack of proper documents. The facility offers amenities like a gym, prayer room, library, and specialized menus, plus weekly yoga and addiction counseling. Over 4,000 detentions were recorded across Canada's three immigration holding centres between 2023 and 2024.
