Truong Nguyen, 50, pleaded guilty to passport fraud and aggravated identity theft for using the identity of a deceased teenager to obtain certifications, government documents, and a job as a Melrose firefighter. He used the deceased teen's identity since 2018, obtaining a driver's license, Social Security card, EMT certifications, and attending the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. Nguyen, originally from Vietnam and subject to a 1995 deportation order, faces sentencing on June 12.
