Brits' tipping habits revealed as one in five never give extra after meal out

A survey by consumer group Which? has revealed the nation's habits when it comes to tipping everyone from waiting staff to posties - and we're not as generous as we might think

A survey revealed that approximately 30% of Brits tip waiting staff after every meal, while one in five never tip. Most people don't tip bin collectors or postal workers, and many don't tip taxi drivers or hairdressers. Only a small percentage tip food delivery drivers every time. Confusion exists regarding where tips go, and some avoid tipping due to this uncertainty. Tipping etiquette varies widely across sectors and cultures.
