Burglars took car and cash in raid on Newcastle player’s home, court hears

Burglars targeted Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak's home in Darras Hall, Northumberland, in April, stealing his Audi car, jewelry worth £68,000, and up to £10,000 in cash. A court heard that the "professional group of travelling burglars" entered through a glass door while Isak was out of the house. They conducted an "untidy search" in the TV room and also took a safe left by the previous occupant, though it contained no valuables. The gang, believed to be from Italy, arrived in the UK via a ferry from Calais to Dover and used a Citroen C3 and a Ford motorhome as their base. Three members of the same family have admitted conspiracy to commit burglary.
