Calgary police officer injured in vehicle collision on Stoney Trail

The driver of the vehicle that caused the collision was not injured and was taken into custody.



A Calgary police officer sustained minor injuries when an impaired driver in a Dodge Caravan rear-ended his marked police vehicle on Stoney Trail while he was conducting a traffic stop. The officer was extracted and hospitalized. The impaired driver, Nolan Taylor Watt, was uninjured and taken into custody, facing charges including impaired operation and bodily harm. The vehicle that was initially pulled over in the traffic stop was also struck.
