Classic detective drama series is being rebooted 65 years after it first aired as first look is revealed

The classic BBC series *Maigret*, originally aired in 1960, is being rebooted 65 years later. Based on Georges Simenon's books, the series follows French detective Jules Maigret. Previous adaptations featured Rupert Davies in 1960 and Rowan Atkinson in 2016. The new reboot, a modern PBS version, stars Benjamin Wainwright as Maigret. The series was canceled by ITV after two seasons, with Atkinson expressing willingness to return. A photo of Wainwright as Maigret in front of the Eiffel Tower has been released.
