A Congressman from Missouri has written a letter to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred questioning whether Trevor Bauer's absence from the league is politically motivated.
Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) sent a letter to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred alleging Trevor Bauer's continued absence from the league is due to his support for Donald Trump and criticism of MLB policies, despite the lack of criminal charges and the resolution of legal issues. Bauer was suspended for 324 games in 2021 for violating MLB's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.
