Controversial Toronto politician ousted from provincial seat secures election win as MP

An Ontario politician who has stoked controversy throughout his political career has just successfully landed the seat of MP in his Toronto-area riding.Roman Baber may be best known for making waves during the COVID era, in which he was forcefully ousted from his position as an MPP for opposing extended lockdown mandates, and went on to try and sue the Province of Ontario.Though his January 2021 statement saying to "Look at the data — the virus is real, but the crisis is mostly in [long-term care].
