Cops probing 'missing ashes' scandal at Scots funeral parlour make fresh appeal

Last year police descended on the parlour following numerous reports of alleged missing ashes and funds used for pre-paid funeral plans.



Scottish police have renewed their appeal for information regarding a "missing ashes" scandal at Milne Independent Funeral Directors in Glasgow. The investigation, ongoing for almost a year, involves allegations of missing ashes and misused pre-paid funeral funds. Nineteen caskets of ashes were found at the closed funeral parlour and are being returned to crematoria to identify families. Four caskets remain unidentified.
