Daniel Blanaru has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Larisa Serban in Co Meath over two years ago.
Daniel Blanaru is on trial for the murder of Larisa Serban. During a Garda interview, Blanaru stated, "I am guilty, I killed her. Please lock me up," but later denied seeing her with another man, despite his sister and her husband's statements to the contrary. He also denied that a "dagger like" instrument found in his car was the murder weapon. Blanaru claims he argued with Serban after finding her with her brother and another man, admitting to pushing and hitting her.
