He passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2024, which was Father's Day, just five months after his diagnosis. His wife, Ali, launched a fundraising campaign for Bowel Cancer UK, raising over £85,000 with support from friends and family, who undertook various challenges. Toby's story highlights the importance of awareness about the disease, particularly when symptoms are non-traditional.
