The average German worker works significantly fewer hours than 55 years ago, about 600 hours less per year according to OECD data. This is partly due to the increase in part-time employment, but also because full-time employees work fewer hours as well. Part-time employees work around 221 hours less per year, while full-time employees work around 346 hours less per year.
