David Johansen, the last surviving member of the New York Dolls and frontman of the punk rock band, has died at the age of 75. He passed away at his home in New York City after revealing he was living with stage 4 cancer and a brain tumor. Johansen, who later performed as Buster Poindexter, was known for his influential role in shaping the punk and glam rock movements. His death was confirmed by his stepdaughter, Leah Hennessey, who noted he had been receiving intensive cancer treatment for much of the last decade.
