Berdasarkan pantauan Okezone di lokasi, sejumlah Mahasiswa mulai membubarkan diri sekitar pukul 20.30 WIB. Mereka terlihat berjalan kaki dari Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat menuju Jalan MH Thamrin atau Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.
On February 17, 2025, students participating in the "Indonesia Gelap" demonstration at Patung Kuda, Monas, Jakarta, began to disperse around 8:30 PM, moving towards Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. The protest, which started in the afternoon, criticized government policies, including budget cuts for the free nutritious meal program (MBG) and educational funding, and demanded changes to laws related to the police, prosecutors, and military. Cleanup crews responded to the area, and the protest caused significant traffic congestion on Jalan Thamrin. Over 1,623 security personnel were deployed to manage the situation.
