Doctors kept telling Toni she had constipation, months later she was dead
Toni Rankin, a mother of six from Bollington, Cheshire, was initially diagnosed with constipation in September 2024 after experiencing abdominal pain. Despite persistent symptoms, she was repeatedly misdiagnosed until further tests revealed pancreatic cancer that had spread to her liver and a lymph node in her neck. Her condition deteriorated rapidly; she underwent only one round of chemotherapy and was rushed to the hospital with jaundice, passing away a few hours later on February 9, 2024. Her family expressed grief over the misdiagnosis and the rapid progression of her illness. A fundraiser has been set up to support them financially.
