Document de stratégie pays pour le Sénégal : La Banque africaine de développement entame une mission préparatoire
The African Development Bank (AfDB) has launched a preparatory mission in Senegal to finalize the Country Strategy Document (CSD) 2021-2025 and prepare the next strategy for 2026-2030. The mission, which began on February 17, 2025, in Dakar, aims to align the new strategy with Senegal's development needs, AfDB's priorities, the African Union's Agenda 2063, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Led by Mohamed Cherif, AfDB's country manager in Senegal, the team will engage with various stakeholders, including the government, private sector, civil society, and development partners, to review achievements, assess ongoing projects, and gather insights for the next five-year strategy. The AfDB has supported Senegal's development in sectors such as energy, agriculture, transport, governance, and social services, with a portfolio of 40 projects worth $2.6 billion (1.64 trillion CFA francs) as of January 1, 2025. The mission underscores AfDB's commitment to supporting Senegal's national development goals, including the "Senegal 2050" transformation agenda.
