Minnesota college student will be free to travel throughout Dominican Republic, but ability to return to U.S. remains in limbo
A Dominican court ruled that Joshua Riibe, the last person to see missing University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki alive, was being unlawfully held at a hotel. Riibe, a Minnesota college student, is now free to travel within the Dominican Republic, but his passport is being held, preventing his return to the U.S. Konanki's parents have petitioned for her to be declared dead and accept the theory that she drowned.
