Dublin 4 landlord ordered to pay €3,500 to tenant over nearby ‘party house’

Building owner made ‘no effort whatsoever’ to safeguard tenant’s peaceful occupation of Pembroke Road apartment, RTB tribunal says

A Dublin 4 landlord, Anna Walker, was ordered by the RTB to pay her former tenant, Tamas Illes, €3,500 for failing to address noise from a neighboring "party house" in her building. The tribunal found Walker made no effort to ensure Illes' peaceful occupation. She was also ordered to pay an additional €1,500 for breaching obligations related to the apartment's standard and maintenance due to a leaking window, and €400 for unlawfully retaining his deposit.
