England and Wales's most and least affordable towns revealed

Analysis of England and Wales housing affordability reveals that while conditions have improved since 2023, with 9% of local authorities deemed affordable (home price less than 5x earnings), most areas remain unaffordable. Housing affordability has improved in 91% of local authorities. In 2023, the average home in England cost 7.7 times average earnings. London's affordability has improved, though the median home price remains high.
