The European Union is being urged by search rivals DuckDuckGo and Seznam.cz, along with consumer and civil society groups, to fully apply the Digital Markets Act (DMA) to Google. The DMA aims to level the digital playing field by ensuring fairer practices among platform giants. The rivals accuse Google of non-compliance with DMA rules, particularly regarding its implementation of the choice screen and sharing of click and query search data. They have called on the EU to expand its ongoing investigation to address these specific issues.
