The FBI is warning iPhone and Android users about "smishing" attacks, fraudulent text messages designed to steal personal information. One recent campaign targeted New York residents with fake unpaid parking ticket notifications and a deceptive link to a fake city website. The FBI advises reporting suspicious texts to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
