A fire at the luxury Chiltern Firehouse in London on Valentine’s Day was caused by wood falling from a pizza oven, igniting the void between the basement and ground floor. The fire, which partially destroyed the four-story building, damaged the ground and second floors, and destroyed the third floor and roof. Approximately 100 people were evacuated, with no injuries reported. Firefighters used 20 engines and 125 personnel to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties. The hotel, a former fire station built in the 1880s, had been scheduled to host a post-Bafta party.
