In Abuja during the 2025 World TB Day Community Outreach, Nigeria's First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, as the Global and National Stop TB Champion, donated N1 billion from the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to combat tuberculosis, which she declared a health emergency. She urged Nigerians to get tested, emphasized collective responsibility in ending TB by 2030, and pledged commitment to increased funding, policy reforms, and resource mobilization. The government prioritizes expanding testing and treatment centers, strengthening community-based healthcare, and enhancing partnerships to scale up TB control.
