Canadian border officials and the RCMP are reportedly confused about what actions the U.S. White House, under President Trump, wants them to take regarding border security, despite declines in illegal immigration and fentanyl flows from Canada into the U.S., according to U.S. data. Trump threatened tariffs unless Canada halted illegal immigration and fentanyl exports. U.S. data shows that flows of both illegal drugs and illegal migrants have dropped significantly and Canada isn't a significant source of fentanyl in the United States.
