Fluoride now expected back in Calgary’s drinking water before end of June

The City of Calgary said the reintroduction of fluoride to the city's drinking water has been delayed again. It now expects the system to be up and running by the end of June.

Fluoride is expected to be reintroduced to Calgary's drinking water before the end of June, following a 2021 plebiscite where 62% of voters supported its return. Fluoride was removed in 2011. The annual operating cost is expected to be about $1 million.
