Just when it didn’t seem possible for Woodstock’s embattled former mayor to be in more hot water, Trevor Birtch was back in a London courtroom Thursday on trial for charges related to his complicated love life.
Former Woodstock mayor Trevor Birtch appeared in his fourth trial within a year, pleading not guilty to two counts of assault and one count of unlawful entry. He was also charged with impaired driving after a car crash, to which he pleaded guilty. Birtch, previously convicted of sexual assault in two trials, faces a retrial due to a mistrial declaration. A sentencing hearing for his convictions is scheduled, with legal proceedings ongoing.
