Major reforms to the welfare system have been announced
The DWP announced changes to Personal Independence Payment (PIP), aiming to make eligibility stricter due to rising costs and claimant numbers. While PIP will remain non-means tested, claimants will now need a minimum of four points in at least one daily living activity to qualify, potentially impacting eligibility for the daily living component and related benefits. A consultation on the proposed changes is open until the end of June.
