Georgia nu vrea conflict cu Rusia, dar nu renunță la intenția de a adera la NATO și UE
Georgia does not seek a conflict with Russia but remains committed to joining NATO and the European Union. The country’s foreign minister, Maka Bociorishvili, emphasized avoiding war, referencing Georgia’s 2008 conflict with Russia over South Ossetia. Despite internal and external challenges, Georgia maintains its strategic goal of NATO membership, though it acknowledges obstacles and lessons from recent U.S. statements on Ukraine’s accession. Regarding the EU, Georgia seeks to restart dialogue, highlighting its reforms and progress, while addressing sensitive issues like LGBTQ+ legislation and foreign funding. Georgia also avoids participating in regional consultations with Russia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
