Gerard Depardieu is on trial in France for sexual assault, accused of groping a woman on a 2021 film set. Depardieu admitted to grabbing the accuser, Amelie K., by the hips but denied sexual assault, claiming he was upset and tired. Amelie K. testified that Depardieu touched her all over her body while making explicit comments. Prosecutors allege a second woman was also groped by Depardieu during the same film shoot. Depardieu's lawyer claims the accusations are false. If convicted, Depardieu faces up to five years in prison and a 75,000-euro fine.
