Giant tulip giveaway in Toronto will have 40,000 free blooms

It's flower power time! Toronto Tulip Day is rolling around the corner, and this year, there are literally thousands of free tulips up for grabs.Head down to Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, May 10 to pick up some beautiful spring bouquets of tulips. Some 40,000 (yes, you read that right) tulips will be given away to residents, until supplies last. Hosted by the Netherlands consulate, Toronto Tulip Day honours the liberation of the Netherlands by Canadian troops during the Second World War.
