Gregorys Coffee CEO accused of ‘overt’ discrimination against Black employees and women

Exclusive: Gregorys Coffee founder and CEO Gregory Zamfotis allegedly denigrated Black employees, paid them less than their white counterparts, and fired at least one based solely on the color of her skin, according to a new lawsuit



Gregorys Coffee CEO Gregory Zamfotis is being sued by former VP of People, Jessica Day, for alleged overt discrimination against Black employees and women. The lawsuit claims Zamfotis denigrated and mocked Black employees, paid them less than their white counterparts, and fired at least one Black employee based on race. He also allegedly ignored reports of workplace harassment against women and protected the harassers. Day resigned after witnessing these alleged actions.
