Guelph city council approves new affordable housing seed program for non

Financial assistance in the form of a grant will be provided to non-profits to help cover pre-construction costs for affordable housing projects.



Guelph city council approved an Affordable Housing Seed Funding program to provide grants up to $25,000 to non-profits for pre-construction costs of affordable housing projects. The program aims to address housing affordability issues in Guelph and overcome funding barriers that delay project initiation. Rents and mortgage rates will be set and maintained by the Province’s Affordable Residential Unit Bulletin.
