A CNG truck's brake failure caused the Abuja-Keffi expressway explosions on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The truck, headed towards Nyanya from AYA, lost control and rammed into several vehicles, causing CNG canisters to explode up to 900 meters away. Casualties and the number of vehicles burnt are still under investigation, with rescue operations ongoing.
