According to a 2023 Eurostat report cited by "Novi list," Croatia is the safest country in Europe, with the lowest percentage of residents reporting crime, violence, or vandalism in their neighborhood. In contrast, Greece, the Netherlands, and Belgium reported the highest rates. Croatia's rate of 1.2% for those at risk of poverty and 1.5% for others is the lowest in the EU, while Greece reported 23.7% and 20.2% respectively. Croatian Interior Minister Davor Božinović highlighted the country's achievements in ensuring safety.
