‘Human error’ possibly played role in death of babirusa at Toronto Zoo
Bucky, a 17-year-old Sulawesi babirusa and one of the oldest of his kind in North America, died at the Toronto Zoo after an incident involving a male rhinoceros named Vishnu. The zoo's initial findings suggest human error may have contributed to the incident. An investigation is underway to determine the cause, and the zoo is focused on preventing future occurrences while supporting their grieving team.
