Hannah Mellor, a 33-year-old mother from Glossop, Derbyshire, has spoken out about the severe abuse she endured at the hands of her ex-partner, Ben Fitton, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Fitton subjected Mellor to sexual, physical, emotional, and psychological abuse over two years, including forbidding her from brushing her teeth, leading to dental decay. He also made death threats, such as pouring boiling water on her, and manipulated her into believing the abuse was her fault. Fitton controlled her every move, even accusing her of infidelity with family members. Mellor attempted suicide and was hospitalized, but Fitton continued to threaten her. Greater Manchester Police described the abuse as the worst they had ever encountered. Mellor, now advocating for abuse survivors, shared her journey of recovery and urged others to seek help.
