An investigation into alleged bribery and corruption within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) has revealed footage of money counting. As part of two separate investigations led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 1.3 million dollars was seized during searches at the workplace of Ali Nuhoğlu, one of 106 suspects facing detention orders. İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu and 99 other suspects are under investigation for various charges, including leading and being members of a criminal organization, extortion, bribery, fraud, illegal acquisition of personal data, and bid-rigging. Furthermore, İmamoğlu, İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and four other suspects are being investigated for allegedly aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization. The investigation has uncovered images of dollars and a money counting machine in Nuhoğlu's office.
